President of AFSCME Local 901 and vice president of District Council 36, Homer Post is running for the board of the Los Angeles City Employment Retirement System (LACERS).
Homer has over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors, including running his own financial consulting firm, and experience in the U.S. Department of Commerce and Small Business Administration. A former professional football player, he also co-founded the National Football League’s Players Association.
“A vote for Homer is a vote for a dedicated, committed trustee who will always put City employees first and foremost,” said President Alice Goff. “I’ve worked with him for over a decade. Homer has the skills and expertise to do the job and look out for our interests.”
Homer is endorsed by the Coalition of L.A. City Unions and all AFSCME city locals in his bid for general member trustee on LACERS,
